Apprentice Mechanical Engineer / Piping Designer with Fabri Consulting Engineers since September 2022.
George is currently enrolled in the modern apprenticeship program for Engineering Technical Support. George is on the day release program to obtain his SVQ followed by day release college course for HNC Mechanical Engineering.
In addition to George's external training, Geroge also receives internal training on a regular basis covering a wide range of subjects with regards to the Downstream Oil & Gas sector and is not solely focused on Mechanical work, allowing George to have a better overall understanding of the industry in which we operate in.
Prior to joining Fabri, George performed a work placement within Shell Kingsbury terminal supporting the construction management team with small site maintenance tasks. This required George to complete his site safety requirements and obtain the required passport to allow him on site.
George is responsible for supporting the Mechanical department with feasibility studies, engineering calculations, detailed designs, and cost estimates. In addition, George is responsible for supporting the piping design elements from detailed 3D conceptual modelling, P&ID’S, general arrangement drawings, detailed design drawings, isometrics, and pipe routing drawings.
George has worked alongside project engineers and piping designers on terminal upgrade projects for a wide variety of clients in the UK.
